That's present in any recording at home or work in any software (including Audacity). The issue comes back sometimes after hours sometimes days. In Discord, open the Settings menu by clicking on the cog icon next to your name and avatar in the bottom left. Unfortunately, it happened twice in Conference calls which caused me some trouble in the meeting. At first, my Blue Yeti mic worked perfectly fine, however audio would cut out after a time, and if i was using a voice chat program (mumble, teamspeak) the audio would get stuck in a loop as if someone in the channel was playing a lopped syllable. Use an external headphone jack. If this scratchy static noise has disappeared, then you can be sure that the jack is damaged. Discord is great for voice chatting, but you might have to change some settings to fix static, background noise, and poor audio quality. There's a fair bit of background static. Its exterior is fully made of metal, therefore, itâs so weighty. The buttons and knobs are plastic. I haven't used one myself but if the wire on the mic is bad then you could possibly get a new mic depending on the age of the equipment. There are many speakers that feature a built-in headphone jack. The static is somehow being added to the microphone audio by OBS. Sometimes I get awful static noise or really bad quality through the headphone jack on the Yeti Nano. Setting the sound card from Duplex to Playback and restarting JACK resolved the problem. I recorded audio on my computer with the same mic, but without OBS, and it sounded fine. I can't really tell what causes the issue.
